We talk about Iran getting a nuclear weapon and threatening Israel and us. Let me tell ya something, Pakistan already is bristling with nuclear weapons, all of which can hit Israel right now, all of which can strike the Mediterranean and well into the Indian Ocean....Apparently the audience of Obamaphiles ate it all up enthusiastically.It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.... we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough - I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur.... he's gonna need you, not financially to help him, we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him.
Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right. Because all these decisions, all these decisions, once they're made if they work, then they weren't viewed as a crisis. If they don't work, it's viewed as you didn't make the right decision, a little bit like how we hesitated so long dealing with Bosnia and dealing with Kosovo, and consequently 200,000 people lost their lives that maybe didn't have to lose lives....

...There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go 'whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision.' Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made.... they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound.
I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here.

It surprises me none at all that Bomber Joe would make such a statement here in Seattle. If any part of the country is very likely to give starry-eyed support sans caveat to an Obama administration, it's going to be "the Emerald City". Seattle has been allowed to cruise on the pretense that it's some kind of progressive mecca for a long time. Those of us who've known the city over various phases of its growth these last thirty years know that politically, it is little more than a high tech company town with a nasty strain of passive-aggressive Eurocentrism, with a widespread fondness for "Save Tibet" bumper stickers. The area does offer a fairly mild environment and a temperate climate, and that's what keeps many of us here. But politically, the place is from hunger. Joe Biden knew he could speak loosely here because the sillyass quotient is pretty advanced in Gates-Ville.

Incidentally, less than 100 people died throughout the Balkans between the collapse of the Soviet Union and the present. Doubtless, like Reagan, Biden considers facts stupid things.
At any rate, as usual, Democratic commitment to Imperial crimes vastly exceeds that of the Republicans. And, worse yet, they do a much better job of getting away with it! Call murder humanitarian and make sure the targets are all niggers (or at least Serbs) and thinking people back home will applaud.

It's a joke. The supposedly glorious "urban planning" here is nothing of the kind. It's like tying a T Rex to a twig, which is why this place is almost as suburban as Phoenix.
And the so-called emphasis on non-automotive transport is even less serious and real.
And then there all the "alt" hipsters who fancy themselves some kind of political left. It reminds me of what I learned from living in the tofu-capital of Eugene in the 1980s -- "scratch a hippie, find a Republican." These poseurs would lash out at anybody who tried to deprive them of the trust fund flows and the $500 downscale retro-costumes.
Hell, our farthest left Democrat from here is DeFazio, and he's all hot and heavy to get another "good highway bill" passed by Congress. As if that were ever in controversy...
Ugh.

Every day that goes by, I protect myself more and more by creeping still farther to the fringe. By that, I mean specifically that: (1) I assume that no matter how bad things seem, they are actually much worse, and (2) I assume that anything that a major US politician says is (a) disinformation, (b) indoctrination, and/or (c) criminal deception.
Applying those principles to Biden's "indiscreet slip of the tongue" leads me to suspect that the Obama regime will institute some measure and level of martial law within two months of the inauguration.
{sigh}
By the way, Michael - this post and your subsequent one are, per usual, right on the money (wherever that happens to be these days).
